About the Presentation:

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation - Medicaid Fraud Control Unit (MFCU) focuses on cases involving fraud and patient abuse. For more than 25 years, the Agents assigned to this unit have consistently identified more fraud dollars than the unit has spent. Every year, MFCU Agents remain aggressive in assisting TennCare recover millions of dollars in restitution for Tennesseans. Additionally, information obtained through patient abuse cases is used to compile the state’s Abuse Registry, which is managed by the Tennessee Department of Health.

Join us to hear from Special Agent Andy Corbitt and Special Agent Gregg McNamara from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation - Medicaid Fraud Control Unit.  They will share information about the TBI-MFCU, as well as discuss how TBI investigates alleged abuse in nursing homes, and how they coordinate their investigation with other appropriate organizations.
